Why real-time voice translation is a competitive advantage for global businesses
The ability to hold conversations in colleagues’ or customers’ preferred languages is a powerful competitive advantage for any global business.
That’s why we launched DeepL Voice. This cutting-edge tool delivers real-time voice translations for virtual and in-person meetings. We’re focused on evolving DeepL Voice to deliver real-time, translated captions of more languages, spoken by more people on more platforms.
And that's why we were so excited to launch new features and languages in the summer of 2025.
DeepL Voice supports 17 languages, including Mandarin, Ukrainian, Romanian, and Indonesian
DeepL Voice can now translate speech in Mandarin Chinese, meaning 1.1 billion more people can participate in meetings in their first language.
Adding speech recognition for Ukrainian, Romanian, and Indonesian means another 65 million people in Europe can be understood through DeepL Voice for Meetings and DeepL Voice for Conversations when speaking the language they prefer.
From retail to manufacturing to technology and professional services, this helps global businesses do their daily work better:
- Serve customers
- Support colleagues
- Coordinate complex international supply chains
“With DeepL Voice, we can distribute our internal support teams across different countries, so that we can respond to any employee, regardless of language,” explains Sébastien Dumon, chief technology officer for Inetum.
Inetum is a leading IT consulting and services business and one of many international enterprise organizations to have adopted DeepL Voice.

DeepL Voice offers translated transcripts and broader language coverage
DeepL Voice can now translate speech from 17 languages. It can generate translated subtitles in all 35 languages available for DeepL Translator.
We’ve also added the ability to download full, translated transcripts of conversations in participants’ languages of choice. As a result, organizations can do more with the content that comes from multilingual meetings and conversations.
DeepL Voice integrates with Zoom Meetings
We’re making DeepL Voice more accessible in another important way as well. Launched in September 2025, our DeepL Voice integration for Zoom Meetings brings real-time translated subtitles to one of the world’s most-used video conferencing platforms.
This capability adds to the DeepL Voice for Meetings integration for Microsoft Teams. And it means that an estimated 88% of all video meetings now have a DeepL Voice integration available.
“DeepL Voice for Meetings has really brought our teams together, bridging the gap between our sites and opening the door to collaboration and teamwork,” says Christine Aubry, international coordinator for global patisserie and baking manufacturer Brioche Pasquier. It’s yet another international enterprise to have adopted DeepL Voice.
At DeepL, we believe the world deserves productive, inclusive meetings in which everyone is understood, regardless of the language they speak. With the latest DeepL Voice languages, features, and integrations, this world just got a step closer.
